Cancer is one of the battles so many people have to fight with today. It is not a respecter of sex or age. It affects even infants, and comes in many forms and kinds. It is sad how many people have lost their lives to cancer. It is something that not only the cancer patient is fighting with… even the family members feel the need to fight for it. We know of many cancer survivors—but I’d rather call them cancer victors! They have fought a good fight with their determined spirits and strong faith.

Although we are not cancer patients ourselves, it would be great if we joined with the cause for cancer awareness. By putting on cancer awareness ribbons, we are actually conveying a message that our hearts go out to those who are battling with the disease and at the same time, make the public aware of the implications that this ailment brings.

Do you have a loved one who is fighting with cancer today? A close friend or neighbor, perhaps? Let us remember them and be one with them in their struggle by putting on those ribbons. It’s never to late to make a difference—and mind you, we really don’t have the slightest idea how we would make these patients happier knowing that they are not alone in their ordeal.
