I may sound crazy but I would really love to have another TV. You see it is football season starting this Thursday and I would love to have a TV for our kitchen that way when we eat, we still won't miss the game. Yes, I know I am a football addict!

We were looking at some stores and it is a surprise how the price of a 32" (or larger) LCD TV has dropped down. I remember 2 years ago the price of an lcd tv is almost double than what they are right now.

I really think we ought to buy a new TV. I need to convince the finance manager in our house, the wife! Hmm... perhaps I need to bribe her with something...

My sister has been working in a dental office for a very long time now. They are not obligated to wear uniforms but they all prefer to wear medical scrubs. I guess because I see it those type of clothes look very comfortable. I know that the dentist that she is working for always wear mens scrub. I think that most medical professionals wear scrubs nowadays because even when we go to my daughter's dentist, all the nurses and dentists in that office wear scrubs.

Talking about scrubs, I told my sister that if she wants new sets of scrub uniforms, buying scrubs online is easier. I forwarded her the link of blue sky scrubs and told her about their on going promotion. Knowing my sister, I am sure she will check it out because she likes to hunt for good deals when it comes to shopping.
Only one more week! I am so looking forward to the college football games a week from now. On Thursday, college football officially starts but I am most excited about the first LSU football game which is against North Carolina.

We have been planning to have a football date with my family for our team's first game this season. We are undecided yet, if I have to grill or buy some chicken wings. Whatever we decide on, one thing is for sure, we will surely be glued in front of the tv watching the game provided by our Local TV-Satellite service.

When we decided to have a tv satellite service, it was important for us to get one that can give us as many viewing options as possible. We specifically opted a package where there is unlimited sports channels. As much as we love watching sports, it is a necessity for us to have a great sports package. We are just glad that we don't have any problems with our Direct TV cable service.

Are you ready for the football season? Does your satellite service provides you a great viewing experience? If not, then time to switch! Check out localtv-satellite.com!
My car is a ford escort thus when I saw the report about Ford recalling the Windstar, I got curious about it. Since I bought my car, I never experienced major problems with it and I am so glad because I know that repairs can be too costly.

Anywya, Ford Motor Co. is recalling about 575,000 Windstar vans in 21 cold-weather U.S. states and Canada from model years 1998 to 2003 because of the possibility that the rear axle may fracture due to corrosion. National Highway Traffic Administration said that the design of the axle appears to allow it to collect road salt slush, leading to rust.

Do you own a car mentioned above? If you do, bring your vans to any Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealerships for inspection of the axle. If the axle shows a crack, you will be offered a repair or alternative transportation until parts are available.

My daughter is very fascinated with ceiling lighting and ceiling fan since she was so young. I don't know what is in it that fascinates her so much. Whenever she sees a beautiful chandelier she will tell us "pretty light". She always enjoys it when we go to a lighting store or the lighting section of any store. Sometimes, we joke around of giving her a ceiling fan / ceiling lighting as a birthday gift.

My wife and I were looking around for some designs of ceiling lighting and chandeliers when we found Maxim lighting. They have traditional yet stylish products. You can find products that will be perfect for your foyer, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. They offer high quality products and I know that I will buy some when I need one.
We were sorting stuffs at home one weekend when I noticed an old binoculars. I remember it was a gift from my daughter over 10 years ago. It definitely brought a smile on my face. The binoculars that I have may not be the most advance but it has a huge sentimental value on it that is why I kept it.

These days, there are so many binoculars for all sorts of activities like hunting, bird watching, astronomy, marine activities and more. It also comes in different sizes from mini to medium to extra large. What I like the most is to buy my wife a digital camera binocular. I am sure that she will like it since she likes to take photos.

I was playing with Andrea outside when I looked up in the sky and adore its beauty. It is indeed a gorgeous day. The temperature is still hot but we think that Andrea deserves to enjoy and play outside. She has been coupe up inside since Lulu can't stay outside with her with this kind of weather.

She had a grand time running and playing outside. We played for over an hour but we have to get back in and get a cold shower. Her cheeks turned pink already. She still is a cutie!
It is true that the house market has fall down so bad that is why there are so many foreclosures all over the states. Our economy has not improved for a few years now and everybody is struggling. For those who are in the market to buy a new home, there are Corolla foreclosures that you can check out. These properties near the Outer Banks of North Carolina are very nice investment, that is if you can afford it. What I like about these area is the fact that it is near great places for beach fun, family fun and lots of activities to do. Check them out now, and make Corolla your new home!

Forex market is the largest financial market in the world. Have you ever noticed that the currency exchange rate when you travel abroad changes every time? This is because exchange rates are constantly changing, and it is these changes in exchange rates that enable you to make a lot of money in the Forex market.

Investors make money every day by trading currency pairs. By determining what is going to happen to a currency pair in the future, investors can act today to take advantage of coming price movements.

If you are interested in becoming a forex trader and be an expert in the trading and analysis of currencies, you most likely need a Forex trading software to give you an edge in this form of investment. You can learn to trade in your own pace with this software.

Visiting the wet market in Philippines was a fun experience for me. This picture was taken at a fruit stand where Lulu usually buys her fruits. See those mangoes? Oh they are absolutely yummy!

I am a happily married man. I can't ask for more because I got the best wife. My wife and I shares a lot of laughs everyday. We are still each others best friends.

Even after having a kid, we still keep our love burning. We make little surprises for each other. We make every little thing special for each other.

Sometimes, I suggest to my wife what kind of lingerie will definitely look good on her and that I like her to wear something sexy and alluring. And yes, we keep our love burning at all times! *grin*
There is something about the Outer Banks that makes it irresistible. I have been there once few years ago and I vowed to come back. Of course, I want to come back there with my family. The beautiful beaches, the cool breeze, its rich history, and its exciting activities like surfing, fishing, diving are just but few reasons why this place is good for the soul.

Vacationing at the Outer Banks of North Carolina is perfect for everyone. There are many places that you can stay with excellent amenities. One of the places that stands out is the Seahawk in Duck, a vacation rental property of Carolina Designs Realty. This place is just wonderful. It has a private pool that measures 15x30. It has Hot Tub, Pool Table, Wet Bar, Grill and a free high speed internet. All the comforts of a stress free vacation are found in this house that is why I am bringing my family to this place and enjoy a wonderful Outer banks vacation.

Guest post of the week by Monte Dominguez

When you have a family, shopping for groceries isn't just a simple trip to the store. Like many families, I try to make our hard earned dollars stretch as far as they can. I use ads and the Internet to find the best deals for our family.

I normally shop at one major grocery store once a week. Although it's only a few minutes from our home, it is not always fun shopping with three small children. I try to stock up as much as I can during that trip. Since my children are with me, I always remember to set my ADT alarm before leaving for the grocery store.

The day before I go shopping I clip coupons and search the Internet for printable coupons. I have a few favorite blogs and forums that I like to check for great deals. I make a list of the things on sale and attach my coupons to the list.

Once we are at the store, I make a game with my children to find the right items. This teaches reading skills and gives them some independence. More importantly for me, it keeps them busy. Once we are done shopping they help me put the groceries on the belt. At home, they help me bring the groceries in and help put them away.

Climbing the guava tree to get some guava for the wife. See I am whipped! lol

Seriously, this is a guava tree in front of the house of my sister-in-law Josie. Lulu likes to eat guava so she was smart enough to tell me that I can't climb the tree. Of course I have to show them I can. Can you imagine seeing an American climbing the tree. The neighbors were having fun for sure!

Can't wait to visit Bohol again and I am feeling very nostalgic right now... hehehe

It is a fact that I am not getting any younger anymore and that I need to take more care of my body so that I will live longer. Of course, I wanna live long so that I can see my little girl grow up. I have not been the best in taking care of my health as I have some nasty habits. I really need to get back on track with my exercising and I have plans on buying a dip bar so that I can do the exercise at home and I don't need to go to a gym. I like the dip bar because it gives you an excellent strength training workout in the smallest of spaces. Because we don't have a lot of space available at home, this is perfect for me.
Using POS systems in a retail business makes it simpler for everyone especially the cashiers that are working and forced to deal with different customers. I know how hard it is for those cashiers who are working long hours and on their feet all day. Through the POS sytem it is easier for a cashier to ring everyone's purchases because all he has to do is to look for the code and scan it or point the code reader into it.

I think that the creation of POS system is an idea that works really well because it does not only give ease to the workers it also makes monitoring very easy.
I love fried squid or calamaris. So when we dined out at the Malaysian Restaurant I know I have to order their fried squid. This order was awesome! Its tangy taste is so perfect!
I remember the day when tv's has big tubes and they were so heavy. Then as years go by, tv's have revolved. Manufacturers manufactured LCD TV then now the newest is the 3-D TV. I heard wonderful tv reviews about the new 3D Television.

If I have the budget I will definitely buy a new 3D TV because I am sure that it will give an awesome tv watching experience considering the fact that it has special viewing device to project a television program into a realistic three-dimensional field. I can just imagine how cool it will be to watch live football games in a big screen 3D Television.
Every business needs a reliable photo copier machine. I am glad that we have plenty of those in our office. We have xerox phaser 8560 in our office and this machine really works good. I do a lot of photocopying in my line of work and this machine makes my work easier. I can just set it to photocopy every page and leave it until it is done. While the machine is doing its work I can also do some work.

If you have a business, I suggest that you use a photocopying machine like what we have because its ink and other supplies are very easy to get and you can even purchase them online.
My mom had eye surgery (cataract) yesterday. I am so glad and happy that it went well.

Take a good rest Mom. We love you!

I admit my wife is a smart shopper. Sometimes I wonder how she ever find all the good deals. When she shops she always find good buys. Although at times I won't understand her shopping style. Like for example, she likes to shop for women's sweaters during summer. Who would buy a sweater in a hot summer day? Then, she explained to me how stores sell these sweaters for a discounted price because it is no longer in season. It makes sense. She can buy these clothes for less and just reserve them in time for colder season. Now, that's a smart shopping... and that's what my wife does best (in shopping)!

Having a child means you need to devote extra time in making sure that your whole place is clean and making sure that your whole place is child-proofed.

My wife spend quite a lot of time in our kitchen and so does my daughter that is why it is important for me to keep our kitchen and kitchen floor clean. We have a tile floor kitchen and mopping is not an easy job. I am the designated kitchen cleaner. Sometimes, when I used some cleaning aides in mopping the kitchen floor, I worry if it is safe for my daughter.

I have heard about steam cleaners and how effective they can be. I had the chance to use the Gruene Steam Mop and I was loving it! It makes mopping so easy. I don't need to worry about the cleaning aids that can harm my daughter because using Gruene Steam Mop and Steam Cleaner doesn't need any cleaning agents, all you need is water and you can steam away the heavy even heavy dirt.

This steam mop is really easy to use and it is very light. It is also cost effective as you don't need to buy expensive replacement pads. You can use any towel or pads. This shark steam mop is your solution for easy cleaning. This product is also eco-friendly - it is good for you and the environment!

I love the internet! I have been on the internet for quite a while now. The internet has made my life so much easier. I can view my bills on the internet, as well as pay them. This saves money on envelopes, stamps, and checks. I also dabble a little in making money on the internet. Even though I have an internet bill to pay, using the world wide web saves me enough money to compensate for the extra expense.

I also like to visit various forums and chat rooms. This gives me a way to socialize without leaving my home. Using my satellite internet that I got through my deals on clear tv bundles also allows my son to do school research and play games online. With him doing most of his research online, this saves me from taking him to the library all of the time.

I also have several money-saving blogs that I follow. By keeping up with these blogs on the internet, I am able to use coupons to my bast advantage. There have been times where I have saved nearly 100 percent on my grocery bill just by following the advice from these blogs. The internet has definitely enriched my life.

It was fun! It was great! It was perfect!

Our main reason for going to Atlanta is for my wife's citizenship. On top of that, we planned on meeting some friends too and explore the asian markets.

Wednesday August 11, we had dinner with a good friend of mine who I have not seen in a couple of years. They haven't met my wife and daughter yet, so we decided to meet up and dine together at a Malaysian Restaurant. It was great to see them (Dao and Dayle) and we surely enjoyed catching up with each other.

After we had dinner, we explored the Asian stores of Buford high-way. We were scouting what we want to buy before we head home that Friday.
Thursday August 12, it was my wife's big day. The interview went well and so does the oath of ceremony. The day was long as we have to wake up so early. The hot temperature drained us all but we were happy. We were finally done with all the immigration journey. After the oath of ceremony we went to visit the Filipino friends. Lulu ate some Filipino food and shopped. We also met for the first time Shiela (and Joan) a good friend of ours. It was great to finally met her in person.

We celebrated Lulu's Citizenship by dining and having dinner at Red Lobster's!
Friday August 13, it is shopping time! We loaded on fish, vegetables, seafoods and a lot more. Then it is time to come home!

Atlanta mini vacation was great.... we stayed in Holiday Inn Express for just 79/night! Thanks to the flyer that we found in the rest stop we were able to save in our hotel stay.

Guest post written by Dina Moore

My boyfriend was so excited when he found out about an internship offer at a prestigious law firm in Chicago. I was excited for him, but also sad because we hadn’t spent a summer apart since we started dating a few years ago.

While I was stuck in our college town taking nursing classes, Dave moved to Chicago and stayed with one of his cousins that lives just outside of the city. His cousin had just graduated from college and moved there, so Dave helped him look up satellite internet packages while he was setting up his utilities. Dave had heard good things about satellite internet in Illinois and also wanted to make sure that they had a reliable internet connection because we would be talking to each other on Skype at least every other night, depending on our respective schedules.

Dave seemed to get settled in pretty well and we’ve kept in touch through Skype and texts despite the long distance between us.

I’m planning a weekend trip to Chicago once my summer classes end and I can’t wait to see him!

Thanks to Wm Rowe

When I was a kid, my folks would always have friends and family over when a Pittsburgh Steelers football game was televised on the TV. Through the years, I went from watching silly looking guys throw an oval shaped ball around to appreciating just how detailed and complex the game is. I went from knowing the quarterback is the big shot to understanding what a center's duties are and why a team needs both a kicker and a punter. Somewhere along the way, I went from laughing when everyone shouted and jumped around to being the one who shouts the loudest when a ref blows a call.

I don't think I would have developed my passion for the game if it weren't for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I started gaining interest during their Super Bowl dynasty years in the 1970s, so it was very easy to appreciate Chuck Knoll, Terry Bradshaw and the mighty defense players. When I bought my first house, I installed a large flat screen TV and I never miss a Steelers game on my direct tv specials. Now I am the one who hosts the parties for friends and family, and I get to see my kids reacting the same way I used to when we all scream and get animated at the television set. They are future Steelers fans  in the making!

We usually go shopping on Saturday morning. I get the kids dressed and fed, set the ADT security alarm, and off we go. We begin with K Mart for all the supplies they need. There is so much to buy, with five children. I have to bring them with me so they can pick out there own styles and colors of supplies. We make sure they have all the folders, paper, binders, and writing utensils they will need. Then they each pick out their own backpack. There are so many styles to choose from, this usually takes a little bit.

After the supplies, we are off to Target to purchase the clothes. This takes even longer for everyone to find their outfits, and try them on to make sure they fit properly. I love this store! They are always having sales, and you can get name brand clothing really cheap. Of course I have to find myself a perfect outfit too. The kids love having so many choices to choose from. It makes them feel like adults shopping for themselves. They have fun, but it makes for a long day.

Oh... I know I have been procrastinating it but I really have to do it! My car needs washing and I did it today! Thankfully, it was not so hot today so it was not very miserable doing it.

While I was cleaning the car, Andrea was swimming in her pool and she was just having so much fun.

It was a good Saturday for us... I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Thursday, August 5, 2010

This was the first time that we attended a Filipino Christmas party. We had a blast as we met so many Filipinos. Since then, we constantly communicated with Filipinos in Alabama.

Little did we know that after 3 days, Andrea will come out to see us! It was unexpected as Andrea was born premature.

When I was involved in a traffic accident I totally wrecked a brand new car that I bought online using my hughes net internet in California. I had to buy a brand new car also using my satellite internet providers to replace it or else how am I going to get to work everyday? I searched at many different car dealership websites to locate the right price. There were many different sites that were able to help me compare prices and find the perfect car for me. I found a variety of all kinds of cars at different websites. I ended up buying a brand new Honda Civic. I was also helping a friend sell a car at the same time too because he had a piece of junk he wanted to sell for scrap parts. I found a website that was willing to pay 1,000 dollars for it and helped him get rid of it. He gave me half the money for helping him sell it. Doing that briefly made me think about opening my own personal website online to help people sell cars they don't want anymore. I decided it was too complicated and got rid of the idea.

Thanks for the post from Noble Schultz

I am always so very busy during the week. My family seems like they are always on the go or doing something. Our schedules are all so hectic that we barely have time to sit down at dinner; however we choose to go to a certain restaurant as often as possible. Every family has that one place that they all enjoy going to. Well that place is IHOP for my family. We all enjoy getting up on Saturday mornings and going to the nearest IHOP. We are not able to every Saturday but we sure do try. We always set the home Security alarm before going anywhere because we just feel safer that way. At IHOP I have to eat the pancakes with strawberries. It is my absolute favorite thing to eat. My son always eats an omelet. I must admit that I enjoy those as well. The atmosphere of IHOP is so family friendly that it makes you want to stay. Along with the pancakes there are so many other tasty items on their menu. My wife and often get two different dishes and share because we end up wanting everything on the menu. Family is great and it is nice to be able to spend a little time together.

Oh... I can't believe how busy my days are. I haven't been able to visit blogs nor update this blog. I was caught up with so many things to do at work and at home.

On top of my busy sked, the very hot weather here drains all my energy. I hope to be back blogging.
