When summer arrives there are many more precautions you will need to take to keep the kids safe. Here are tips for keeping your children safe and sound all summer long!
Outdoor Safety
Summer days can be hot and very humid, which is hard on the body.
- Keep children well hydrated by supplying plenty of water.
- Also offer a snack to replenish the energy the heat take away.
- Sunscreen should be applied before heading outdoors and again every 2 hours.
- Sunscreen should contain an SPF of 15 or higher.
- Dress in light colored clothing, and wear hats and sunglasses at all times.
Home safety
- If kids are old enough to stay home alone, ensure that you have installed an ADT securityalarm for extra protection.
- teach children the importance of stranger danger and not answering the door or telephone.
- Keep windows locked at all times.
- Curtains and shades should be over all windows so noone may see inside.
Bicycle Safety
Bikes make summer fun for children! There are safety tips to remember for bike safety as well.
- Make sure the bicycle your child is riding is appropriate for their size and not to small or large for them.
- Children should always wear a safety helmet as well as knee and elbow pads to prevent serious injury.

Thanks David for the reminders. With my daycare kids it nice to read reminders just to make sure I'm getting it right or at least thinking in the right direction. Have a blessed afternoon.
