After a hard day of work, I love sitting on my favorite recliner to watch some of my favorite football reruns. My favorite team in particular is the University of Michigan. Did you know that U of M has played in 39 bowl games in its history? That is phenomenal for a college football team. Watching U of M games on my satellite television is a leisurely hobby unlike any other.
U of M has a bowl game record of 19-20. In 2008, that was the first year that the University of Michigan missed a bowl game. Can you believe that? The University of Michigan had played in a bowl game for 33 years up until that point. Even more amazing, the University of Michigan held a winning season for 40 straight years prior to that as well.
There are two great rivalries that U of M faces in college football and I am always sure to catch those games on television. I travel quite frequently so I am unable to attend the games. The two rivals are Ohio State University and Notre Dame University. There are also two rivalry trophy games that U of M participates in, and those are the Little Brown Jug (Minnesota) and the Paul Bunyan Trophy (Michigan State).
College football is the perfect sport for people that like passion, enthusiasm, and history with their sports.
