Geaux Saints!

We were looking forward to this day. We even planned what to eat! It's Superbowl XLIV! We don't want to eat the usual food during superbowl.... pizza, wings, and others. We want to have steak! We planned this day to cook steak and watch the game.

We watched the pregame show, the game and the post game show. We are so happy that the Saints made it! Imagine, it is their first Superbowl title in the entire franchise history!

As much as I don't like Peyton Manning, I admit he played well until the interception. There were plays he made that were so amazing....

It was a great game! One of the best if I may say so.... The game was great... our dinner was awesome... and we had fun! What a wonderful Superbowl for us!

I am just happy that the NO Saints won the game! Geaux Saints...

Garage

I was at my Mom's garage today because I put our groceries in their freezer. We went to buy some meat and frozen groceries in the store near their place. I had to put our groceries in the freezer because we stayed for a couple of hours for our weekly visit.

I always admire their garage because it is very sophisticated. The garage floor is very nice and the whole garage is very comfortable for their dogs. Yes, the garage is not only the place for their cars but it is also a place for their dogs. The garage is equipped with heater and airconditioner to make sure that the "pups" are always comfortable.

Since their garage is big enough, I like the idea that it is multi purpose garage. It is used for the car, the dogs and that is were their freezer and extra refrigerator and other household things are stored.

Human Body

This was emailed to me and I wanted to share it here just for laughs...

The Human Body!

It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach..

One human hair can support 3kg (6.6 lb).

The average man's private area is three times the length of his thumb.

Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.

A woman's heart beats faster than a man's...

There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

Women blink twice as often as men.

The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.

Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

Women
reading this will be finished now.

Men
are still busy checking their thumbs.

While I was gassing up the car on our way to visit my Mom, I noticed that there was a newly opened fitness center near the gasoline station. I was tempted to check it out as Lulu keep on talking about losing weight. I noticed that all the commercial fitness equipment in the fitness center are all new. There were only a few people in the fitness center, perhaps because it was just newly opened.

The place where the fitness center is located is really accessible. It is not very far from where we live. If Lulu is interested about it, I am sure she can find time to go there and enjoy their exercise equipments.

During our vacation in the Philippines last year, I saw a giant squid in the grill while we were in the beach.... it was not really giant but I thought it was big.... Then, the first time we went to Whole Foods Market to shop for fish... I saw a giant squid... now that was really big as in big. I even wonder who would buy that humongous squid and how would they ever manage to eat it. That was my encounter with giant squid.

Today, I read about the giant squid invasion in California. The squid were 20-40 lbs but some fishermen caught as big as 60 lbs. Giant squids can grow up to 100lbs.

I am lucky that my wife is good in managing our finances. We don't have a lot of money but she is really doing better than myself in budgeting what we have. When it comes to shopping for our groceries, she always looks for good deals or store specials and she also collects coupons from magazines and Sunday paper.

At first, I am amazed at how frugal my wife is but of course I am also thankful that she is that way or else we will be neck-deep with our debts. Sometimes, I find my wife looking at websites for any deal of the day items. I often encourage her to buy something for herself, things that she wants or she likes.
