Gone are the days that my recycling bin is packed with old newspapers. I work in politics – behind the scenes – so I have to make sure that I keep up with everything that’s going on in the country and world. Now I just subscribe to newspapers online instead.
Every morning when I get up, I make sure to flip on my laptop immediately and use my wildblue satellite internet to go through the morning’s news. Normally I start with the politics and give myself room to breathe with some lifestyle, and arts and entertainment stuff.
I also check my Google reader with my satellite internet Michigan that I found through wildblue internet pricing to read up on recent posts from important political blogs so I can spot any political disasters or conundrums before I head into the office and think them over during my commute.
This has bought us some extra time a few times, like when we learned that another area politician that my boss works with owed money to the IRS. As a result, we were able to turn out a press release and prepare our official statement with the media after I forwarded the breaking story to my co-workers.
